Introduction to Playing and Painting with Alcohol Inks!

Experience and experiment with a truly remarkable media with intense and malleable pigmentation, hyper-cool organic shapes and textures and non-porous substrates (surfaces) required by this cool painting medium.

This class is for anyone who loves exploring. It’s for anyone who doesn’t feel the intense need to control the outcome of our brushstrokes. Or it’s for people who WANT to loosen up and let go!

No experience is required and all essential materials will be supplied!

Join abstract mixed media artist and gallery owner Pamela Stewart and come create and enjoy this fun and truly accessible class. By the end of this session, you will come away with a 12x12” work on a professional wooden gallery depth canvas ready to be sealed by the Instructor.

Option to have the work sealed in with art resin epoxy available for an additional charge!

SUPPLIED:

Synthetic paper and other materials for experimenting

One 12x12” wood panel board pre-prepared and ready for painting with mounted synthetic paper

Option to have instructor finish the work with resin (pickup of works TBD at the gallery after the class) for $50

STUDENTS NEED:

To be ok with smelly materials (even though we have a commercial ventilator, alcohol inks do have a smell so if you are sensitive you may wish to consider this or bring a mask if extremely sensitive)

Clothing suitable for messy creativity.
