Evenchick and Hucul with Don Bray will be performing to raise funds for the Lanark County Interval House. Lanark County Interval House and Community Support offers emergency and on-going programs to women and children living in or escaping from domestic violence. They were founded in 1979 by a number of brave and determined feminists who saw the need in Lanark County for a safe place for women experiencing violence at home and in their relationships.
Please come and support both the musicians and the Interval House while enjoying an evening full of music, stories, and art.
As “weavers of tales and singers of songs,” their music offers a refuge for the soul, inviting listeners into a world where vulnerability meets hope.
Full of surprises, this simple folk duo, joined on stage by Don Bray, delivers intimate songs filled with compassion, vulnerability, hope, and a wee bit of malarky. They’re “Weavers of Tales, Sings of Songs”. Joined on stage by Don Bray
Singers/Songwriters Mark Evenchick and Melissa Hucul perform songs as ‘storytellers’ with melodies that tug on the heart and inspire the listener to envision their own place in the their ‘stories’.
“What is most experienced by the listener is the way they draw you in and tug at your hearts, leaving you feeling you are not alone with your thoughts, and the comfort they invoke with their melodies and lyrics is indeed sublime.” Dawn Whitley, Neptunes Music Workshops
Show your e-ticket at Stalwart Brewing Company (10 High St.) between 5 an 6 pm on concert night, for a free half-pint. Local tastes will be sold by The Orange Berry Company at the gallery before the concert.
